It must have been one of Britain's most passionate places but now the rule in Warrington Bank Quay's station is: "No kissing, we're British." Yes, all of you, passionate lovers are banned from now from kissing at our train platform and you should move to the nearby car park for a snog

No-kissing signs were put up at the station's taxi and drop-off zone designated for rail travellers, as outbreaks of passion appeared to threaten the punctuality of traffic at the station operated by - yes - Virgin Rail.

The company declared on Monday the signs were "a light-hearted way" of encouraging travellers not to clog the often crowded station located on the rail lines between London and Glasgow as well as Birmingham and Scotland.

However, some commuters were less than amused at the idea of cold farewells from their loved ones.

Having living in England for number of years, I had noticed hug numbers of young Europeans and other nationalities had come to live in England for life experience and also easy to find jobs.  These Europeans have influenced and re-shaped some aspects of the conservative way of life in Britain.  Obviously, most of these kissers at the train platforms when they said goodbye to the boyfriends or girlfriends  were mostly not English and I was one of them as well.  In Britain, passion is something at home behind the closed doors, so there you go, please don't kiss on our train platform, it may cause delay.
